    Day 2

    Okay so today I completely screwed-up. I started off okay at breakfast (smoothie: bananna and spinach) but today at lunch I went CRAZY (a pizza, two veggie dogs, a choclate chip cookie, all entrees SMOTHERED in honey-mustard sauce....) I know it doesnt sound that bad but the mere fact that I gave up on day 2 of this "fast" makes me really frustrated cause I want even HUNGRY!!  : ( Once again this is where my emotional attachment to food comes into play. Fact: People make me nervous. Fact: Food makes me comfortable. So when I am around lots of people it seems second nature for me to eat everything in sight--ignoring my body's pleas for me to stop. It's so sad that I am letting other people ruin this for me, but everytime I try to eat healthy or whatnot this is always what ends up happening...

    I hope later on today goes better : /

    Any tips on how to control emotional outbursts/random impulses to eat would be greatly apprectiated

    /love

    //edit:

    Okay so Im feeling better about how today went. I screwed up a bit but for the rest of the day I had about 3 smoothies (pineapple, bannana, spinach..) and I feel like the screw-up just made me more dedicated to stick to this ( I felt HORRIBLE after words with stomach cramps). I can feel myself becoming dedicated to this for more aesthetic reasons (i have a really bad stomach pooch)---but hey, whatever keeps me goin : )

    leave me some love  : )

    I'm not so much an emotional eater as I am a bored eater. I eat when I'm on the computer, I eat when I watch TV, I eat when my friends are around, I eat when I drive. Basically, I just eat because there's nothing else better for me to do...so I can kinda relate.

    Fact: A craving only lasts 3 seconds. If you can avoid thinking about food COMPLETELY for 3 seconds, you won't want it.
    Fact: If you want to eat, tell yourself you can after you do...this....then you are free to eat it. Chances are good that you will forget that you wanted whatever it was
    Fact: If you are sitting or doing something and you see an ad for a certain food or someone mentions food or you see it, and then you want to eat it, and you tell yourself that you are hungry, TELL YOURSELF NO. Quickly reason with yourself that you didn't want ti before you saw it. Tell yourself that if you will want it in ten minutes, then you can have it, but otherwise you have to wait
    Fact: if you are debating on whether or not o eat, never say maybe. Tell yourself OUT LOUD No. The second you start to negotiate eating, you've already lost. Speaking out loud also makes the response more firm and real. So always reason out loud when possible.
    Don't discourage yourself. If you don't do a great job today, admit it, make the best of it, and move on. If you push too hard and hate yourself too much there is a big chance you will convince yourself you don't mind being the weight you are and that you are never gonna be as thin as...
    Well, I really hoped that helped you. I'd love to stay in touch. I have to get a hold of myself, but I'm much better at it when I have a buddy to count on for support. Great attitude. Hope you stop by my site!
